I'm getting ready to change out my rub rail ( 96 Ski Nautique ) and have a new one ordered also have some 3m 5200 on hand, I have not removed the old one yet and would like to buy new screws before doing so. Can anyone help who might know the correct size screw to purchase, so I can have every thing I need on hand before I get started.

McMaster Carr will have the screws that you need in Stainless Steel. Mine were #8 X 3/4" long, but you better check yours first. BTW a #10 is 3/16" diameter, they will list the sizes in their specs. Order and get them next day, at least in Indy

Don't know who you ordered the kit from, but several of the suppliers I have bookmarked list that their kits come with all the hardware, including the screws. I will probably be replacing mine this winter so let me know if this is inaccurate. |

Duane, I can get SS screws locally just trying to have everything ready I'd like to pull the boat out and hopefully put it back in the same day. What year was your boat? #8 X 3/4 might work for mine also.
KS, No kit I ordered from Integrity Marine corp. Rail & insert. |

What kits are you looking at? Integrity Marine is the OEM manufacturer for most of the 90's rub rails. It was much cheaper (about half the price) to get it directly from them, then anybody else. Taco kits are not correct for these Correct Crafts. |

Really good to know Paul, thanks! Being new to CC, I've just been following others links to various Nautique parts sites. I've found 3 or 4 sites that offer replacements, all within $50 or so of each other, but the total cost about choked me! My rub rail is in terrible condition - looks like one of the previous owners kept it in a slip with no fenders.
Which one matches the CC profile? |
