Now that it's documented that a couple of guys are working for PCM, how about some parts discounts??? I really need a FCC for my EFI conversion.

When I’m referring to the porpousing on my 79 it’s drastic, it starts as a small bounce and quickly increases to the point it feels like the nose is going to go under water. I will not hold mine at WOT very long.

Fully disagree with that statement, porpoising=submarine

I installed that engine last year when I bought the boat because the 5.8 commander was seized up. The boat is fast and very responsive, but when you hit 5000 RPMs the bot is going faster than what it can handle and starts porpousing.

The well known high speed Correct Craft handling issues, that's why I'm OK with my measly 130 HP! Just kidding, seems like a few full sized CCFans in the back seat is a help with the porpoising, That boat is beautiful, and has to be a lot of fun with the re-power.

That boat is a 79 Ski Nautique and the Owner is Sherwood ( Bigbirdmk) and he is an employee of PCM in Little Mnt., SC. Yes the motor was a closed loop transplant. He arrived with some minor fuel line collapsing issues and he had some stronger fuel line with him. He did the swap of the fuel line Saturday and the boat ran great. Patrick, also with PCM had a 93 ish Ski Nautique with a newer PCM swap out motor too. Those PCM guys seem to have access to some cool motors. Mark Snider, also with PCM, stayed with the old 302 Form Holman Moody Power in is Mustang , Orange with Black interior.

Thinking you are referring to the 70's vintage SN with the cooling reservoir and it looks like an Excalibur has been dropped in there or perhaps a 305, either way I bet that thing really moves.

Yes, that's the one. Is there a thread on it or diary, I didn't remember seeing that one so don't know who the owner is? What year?

Sherwood, if you click on the arrow, it is not a straight arrow titled editor, and new dashboard will appear at the top of your thread. Then you will see two photo's of green trees. The one on the right has an arrow in it. Click on that one and then your CPU will ask you to check your files for pictures. You have to click OK and the photo's will post.

I enjoyed meeting and hanging out with you too.

Just sit right back to hear a tale a tale of a fateful trip with the Skipper, Gilligan on a three hour tour with the SS Minnow. Unfortunately, no Mary Ann, Ginger and no coconut cream pies.

Special thanks to David and Jesse for making this an educational event.
On Saturday they showed everyone how to rebuild a right side trailer hub. On Sunday, they had a class at the Motel on an alternative method, where they showed how to swap out a left side hub for a complete assembly. Also, thanks for showing that a Budweiser container can be used as a make shift tool box.

Pete, NO Chinese bearings were used and we are sticking to our story.

A BIG shout out to Mr. Carl, Mrs. Diane, David, Townsend and the rest of the White Lake crew for hosting this event and making all of us CCFANS feel welcomed and appreciated. I know it was a lot of work to get ready for this open house and it was well work it. Till next time.........
