I pulled my throttle body and saw that I have significant rust on the inside of my intake manifold. A concern?
I really just want o get my carb conversion done and not have this grow into a larger project. I am a bit concerned about this going south with an intake manifold bolt breaking or something and the whole thing spiraling into a loss of the full summer.
But of course I don't want to be crushing rust into my valve seats either if that is what is happening and I end up with a head rebuild in a season or two.
Regards,
Adam

Automotive is OK

You never know, you might have rust in the intake ports to the cylinders and under the valve seats already, and if you take the manifold off at least you'll be able to check

Yeah I think I'll pull it and swap.
What's the best source for one? PCM GM 5.7L
Thanks,
Adam

An Edlebrock "Performer" might be a nice choice for the marine RPM range.
