Ok, been fiddling with the hoist this afternoon. Based on the dimensions I gave Hewitt, they indicated I likely have it set right...what do you think?
It's a Hewitt Cantilever unit. Cradles are 13'9" long. Outside dimension aft I set at 49" (boat is 58" at transom). Outside dimension fwd I set at 30" (There is 40+" where they would sit on the fwd portion of the boat). I have the cradles set 22" above the aft support tube, so in the event the boat does get pushed to far fwd, the prop will clear. However with the fwd dimension of the cradles, the boat should stop just where is should. Let me know what you think. Murphy's turned my prop in a day, so it'll go on tomorrow and we'll try it out. |

i've never seen anyones bunks flared usually the are paralell for the full length but I guess they would be a little self centering that way. sounds pretty good.

the width of our bunks at the rear of the boat is just as wide as the stringers and they slightly angle in toward the bow.

If the bunks were parallel the nose would dip down.
