Gary,
I seem to remember you had some good luck and some bad with gas tank repair kits/liners. Which one was good? Anyone else have any experience with them? I just found my tank on my 69 Bolens tractor is leaking.

Pete - I have had good results using the POR-15 gas tank sealer.

I had used this Pete. I have it in 2 motorcycles,2 tractors and my MG with no problems. The Mustang had it in for a long time but that one time I filled with Florida gas, ate right thru it for some reason.

A good coating of flex seal should do the trick. You can buy it at any Home Depot store, maybe even AutoZone.

Todd,
I just checked the Flex Seal inventory at my Rhinelander HD. I'm in luck because we have 8 quarts of black. I'll do a BOPIS (buy online pickup in store) order just so I'll have it when I go back in on Saturday.

What do you recommend as a prep? The tank is terne plate.
