    Posted: November-15-2018 at 5:29pm
Just purchased a 2018 Nautique 200OB promo boat. Having issue with boot up of Linc system. Turn battery on, press START and system does not boot, light next to START blinks and bildge light is on. If I power off (battery switch off) and back on and then press START, it boots up. Bringing into dealer but wondering if anyone has had this issue??

Keven,
Most of our boats still have "keys" to start with. LOL

Kevin,

My son just bought a 2012 Super Air 230 with the surf system. It's all programs and buttons.
Good luck.

It's a 2018 boat I would just call the dealer and let them figure it out. I have a 2012 with the Linc system and the only time I've had a problem like that was first time out for the season or if I haven't used the boat in a few weeks, I'm pretty certain the Linc does not like low voltage situations so I make sure my battery is in top condition. If your boat sits for a little while between uses might be time for a battery tender.

Don't let these old farts around here give you any crap! LOL. You will love the Linc System once you use it a few times.

2018 200 is a water Ferrari, Enjoy

Thanks, yes the 450HP engine is a rocket ship... first time I got pulled up on slalom it was like being on jumpers... came out of water so fast I had to look down and make sure I was actually on a slalom.. lol.

Hi Kevin and congrats on the new purchase!   Yes, the 'old timer' crowd on here can sometime be a bit stuffy with respect to the newer models. But don't let that shy you away from the site all together. A lot of these guys just favor the older classic Nautiques .... but at the same time have loads of knowledge and experience.   Hope you'll continue to check in from time to time

I sort of know what you mean about the eye popping power.   I rebuilt my SN this last winter and though I don't have close to 450HP it is a bit healthier than before. The hole shot is crazy fast now so I can only imagine what yours must feel like

Thanks. I loved our 97 SNOB. Learned course skiing in 70s behind a 74 Nautique... what a wake... you learn to stay on edge. The wakes on 200, while probably not as flat as new prostar or Malibu, are almost not there ... really nice for these old knees ..

Ha! Old fart is a state of mind not your age. I still ski as hard as I can every time I go out, just hurts a lot more and a lot longer than it used too.

If I didn't have to accommodate the other disciplines of water sports, ie; Wakeboarding and gasp surfing, I would be in a DD200 instead of my sport 200. I have Direct drive envy.
