Not required, free 5-8 day shipping is without the prime membership - 12.99 a month in this case would just get it there in 2 days. I bought 4 boxes - had to pay tax but no shipping.

Duane,
Why do you feel there's a fee? You don't need to pay the $12.99 to participate. I also always pick the free shipping even though it takes longer to get. You need to practice with more on line purchases!

So Pete bought a whole case- that’s 6 quarts. Does he drain the Dunphy then put that in the Tique then the Tique into the Atom ? Then getting years out of an oil change.....

That's after he uses it in the Snowmobile or Suburban first but that depends on which one sits the longest and that is determined if he needs to use it as chainsaw bar oil.

Got 4 cases on the way....Thanks for the heads up Scotty!

Your loss. We pay $99 for 12 months for prime and we get so much shipped for that $99 I almost feel guilty. All my toiletries, clothes, baby stuff, some tools, boat stuff, car stuff, anything and everything. Two clicks and it’s on my doorstep 36-48 hours later. Best part is no trips to Walmart and all the other useless crap you unnecessarily buy. Online movies and music etc. that $99 saves me probably $600 or more in a year.

Gary,
I still have 10 quarts from a couple cases I bought last year. Both the Atom and the X haven't been used that much in a couple years since I've been concentrating on the house. Now that the majority of the house is done, the plan is to put more hours on out on the lakes.

So Roscoe you must be getting your Amsoil for about 2.45 a quart these days since the price in the sale everybody was jumping on was about 2.85 a quart for VR1

or maybe when you checked the link the sale was over

Never been a fan of Valvoline or Quaker State after seeing inside of tractor engines the sludge that they contributed to compared to all the others.

We run VR1 in most of our old engines, but do run Amsoil in our modern Indmar engine. Running it increases the rpms by 200. Pricey, but good stuff.

Good joke about oil reuse but true for me.

In the last few years of my ownership, I would have less than 10 hrs on oil but still change it out before winter.

I repurposed the slightly used oil to lawnmowers & other small engines (unfortunately it is too thick for snowblower).

BTW, I bought some Mobil1 & sent in the rebate form.    I thought I had wasted a stamp but 3 months later I get a $14 check. Woo hoo!

Anything that runs under 5000 rpms is a truck or a tractor. Anything that cheap I would question how long its been sitting on the shelf. Just about any oil will collect water to some degree. brake fluid is especially prone.

Ross,
Only if you open the sealed container. The MVTR of HDPE is only .5. That's real low! Maybe you could convince the oil companies to go back to metal cans?
