Got a question from someone I can’t answer. Anyone know what a PCM 40A transmission weighs? If I had to guess I’d say 50 lbs, but maybe more? I know I can lift and carry it with my hands / arms. It’s not lightweight, but you don’t need a jack or something else to move it around either.

I thought it was a little under 50. 45ish maybe.
It’s no finger crushing velvet drive, that’s for sure. |

And just to back that up here's a link to a thread from Mourningwood that says it's 47 pounds less than his B/W 71c(10-17) that's about 95 pounds 95 minus 47 is............................. link |

Then again the PCM manual in the link says 60.62 pounds (second page of the manual)
link It was a free download courtesy of SkiDim Too bad it's not in the reference section Edit...............Mourningwood has a PCM 1 to 1 PCM 40i which would explain the difference in weight. He mistakenly calls it a 40A at different times in different posts |
