I created a huge backfire that blew off the top of my Invertaflow muffler on 92 196 nautique, I am enquiring if anyone knows if this can be repaired ? Also how does the muffler work?

They’ve been successfully repaired. I haven’t blown mine apart, yet, so I’m not familiar with the insides but there’s fiberglass baffles on the inside. A few guys have done some really good write-ups on here with pictures. Try google searching. There’s also one for sale on ebay for $500 which seems to be on par for cost, might be NOS. Shipping might be steep.
