I've always used a diluted solution of vinegar after pulling the boat out of the water and have had reasonable success keeping the water spots off in between waxings. Was wondering what everyone else uses after skiing to keep their boats looking nice.

Never thought of vinegar. I use vinegar daily on my granite countertops and SS appliances otherwise water spots are out of control. On the boat I use that quickie spray wax typically from Turle wax.

I use 3 parts soft water (or distilled), 1 part vinegar + 4 or 5 drops of the blue Dawn dishwashing liquid. Then I add a little liquid carnauba wax. Works great.

I have used vinegar and water for years. Only downside is my Wifey always wrinkles her nose when I bring the towels in to be washed.

If we keep using the straight vinegar, will we eventually end up with pickled Nautique's?

I use vinegar, water and Dawn dish soap to wipe down the boat after every use. Works good.

I was a huge proponent of vinegar and water until Zach convinced me to start using Boat Bling Hot Sauce. It's amazing stuff - highly recommended.
