Hi.
There are two sensors MAP and Barometer located over each other ( MAP is lower and Barometer is upper). They both have a pipe for hose. I noticed, that only one (MAP) has a hose connected to the throttle body. Barometer is just not connected. Is it OK..? or there should be a splitter which connects these two sensors to the throttle body. Any ideas..? Thanks |

The MAP sensor is sensing engine vacuum and the barometric sensor is sensing pressure outside the engine. The system compares these readings to adjust operating parameters like timing and fuel flow so you don't want them connected together The barometric sensor is OK just open to the atmosphere as it is right now, or in other words that's how it should be |

Yes it could but it could also be a vacuum leak.
This shows how to do a generic test on your MAP sensor, refer to the reference section on CCF for the manual and voltages https://axleaddict.com/auto-repair/Bad-MAP-Sensor-Symptoms-and-Testing |

Im afraid you are right ! There is a leak between the throttle body and the engine. The massive piece of gasket is missing. Going to make a test this week. Thanks.! |
