Dear Forum Members,
I'm working on a 1979 Mustang 17. I'm looking for a set of points and a condenser. It has a Prestolite distributor D3JL-12100-D, 1BM7007AS10L- Can anyone tell me where I can buy these parts? I think I have found some but they are very expensive, so I thought someone at the forum might be able to help me out. Thank you, Joe Calcagno |

For points use Standard Al-5677P or Echlin CS-720A as a number you can cross reference to many different brands For the condenser use Standard AL-118 or Echlin AL-868 or cross reference to other brands NAPA should be able to work with those Echlin numbers  Or...........look on Ebay, many times you'll find some NOS points and condensers that seem to be built better than most new ones |

Hey Joe,I'm looking for this car
I don't have the serial number with me but when I return north I will get it. My Dad went to school with d*ck Doane. Dad bought this 56 when it was a couple of years old from a Rathmann brothers mechanic who had lost his license. He sold it in '65 and two weeks later it was in a one car fatal accident. Always wondered if it was repaired or being a used 9 year old car parted out.....

Very interesting.
In the NCRS, there may be a group that pertains to 1956-'57 Corvettes. There are facets of the NCRS who have a particular interest in certain years or models. You may want to join just to inquire about that car. If so, go to NCRS.COM and check out the membership details. You wouldn't have to join a chapter, only the National Club to do it.
