Error code is: DTC 606 Microprocessor failure - COP Source 0, SPN 629, FMI 31

Boat is a 2012 super air nautique 210 with PCM EX343 5.7L

My research shows this is an internal ECM issue. Are there any other causes? Can I reset this myself?

The boat appears to run normally, is there a risk in running with this code?

The transmission was recently replaced, so the engine was pulled by the dealer. One of my amps showed a "protection mode" red light which I traced to the main amp ground wire not being reconnected to the engine stud. Soooo....I'm wondering if something else could have been missed when the engine was reinstalled.

Any ideas of what to check/test?

thanks in advance.

Most of the guys here have older boats, so while I am hoping someone can help solve your issue, there may not be much of an experience base with this question here.    I would suggest that if your dealer just did a bunch of work on the boat, you may want to at least include them in the troubleshooting process.   I don't take my boat anywhere for service, but have had similar experiences with car shops.   a mistake in hooking something up, or failure to reset things properly can happen and may be a warranty issue for the repair you just had.    It is possible that something else went wrong, but it would be good to at least check with them to see if they would weigh in as they just performed major work for you.   Not including them in the repair or questions would definitely give them reason to say that you had broken it after their repairs were complete.
