No, not mine.

There is a red 97 potentially for sale near me. It was listed. Didnt sell. Listing was taken down. I recently asked seller about it. Not super motivated to sell, but says possibly. I am sure for right offer, it is available.

Larry:

What was the asking price? Do you happen to know any details about the boat?

When is was listed on FB Marketplace, last winter it was 14000. Its been a few years since I had eyes on the boat so I dont really recall much. Pictures from listing are gone, but I salvaged this one off the FB Messenger discussion I had with him. If you are interested, I will see if he will offer more details or photos, or put you in touch with him, directly or see if I can go take a look. I think its only like 10 miles from me, give or take.

I imagine you already asked the guy what's hanging down there behind the propeller and if it was the right thing you would have gone to take it for a ride for comparison purposes.

Never afraid to ask the obvious though

A 176 with a GT-40 would be a BEAST. That would be a great boat for a private lake/course.

Yes indeed. I skied behind a GT 40 powered 176 in 1997. What a hole shot!

The 176 is formally listed again. $13,275. I went and took a look. Base engine (260) stainless rudder, no rips, or tears. A little discoloration along seams on back seat back, but I bet they would clean up with some cleaner. Hull is perfect. Trailer solid. 800 hrs but seller says a few hundred of those were key left on.

Every boat I ever bought had a few hundred hours with key left on. Along with it being owned by a professional skier or it was a Cypress Gardens boat.

I hear ya. Whenever I've left my key on, it's lasted about 24 hours, not hundreds. Must have been a pretty awesome battery. That being said, the boat is in excellent shape.
