2000 SN196:
I managed to bend my front tracking fin on a submerged obstacle and am getting ready to put a new one on. However, I noticed that my tracking fins are installed in what I would have guessed to be the "backwards" direction. Since I'm not aware of them ever having come off the boat, I assume they are correct but wanted to confirm here. The fins have one edge that is more vertical and one edge that is sloped. Is the correct/normal orientation to have the vertical edge forward and the sloped side towards the stern? Please send photos of yours! |

As installed your tracking fins are in the correct orientation. The more vertical edge of the fin is the forward edge.
