I think I'll try my hand at some spider crack repairs this summer. I have a few on the transom below waterline, so I can practice there, before tackling the ones around the top deck.
What's a good source for color-match gel? Tips on the repair process welcome. Thanks, MS

What year do you have? If it is vintage, it might have faded & make matching harder.
Mini-craft is one source that people have used for their CC.

Mini-Craft has a color wheel that will be helpful. Might be best to find a local repair company and have them do a custom mix for you to get a closer match. Nautique Parts at White Lake NC also sell Spectrum Brand touch up kits. You might get lucky and they might have your color.

Spectrum had a "match" for my 95's silver cloud hull. Didn't match but could be tinted. I'll try to find it and see what numbers are on it. Last time I checked Mini Craft has really gone crazy on price and quantity you need to buy. I ave their color wheel I'll have to check if they have that silver cloud,I don't think it's in their list of standard colors

So for folks that have tried to match this by eye. I am trying.
I find using red tint , dark blue tint, yellow tint and black tint in white. I have a 2002 ski nautique 196. So in 10 ox white i start with just the very tip of smallest tug style stick. This makes it pink. Then half that amount dark blue brinks in towards purple. I believe should be slightly pink Thin just a tini tip on a broken pointed stick using yellow tint. If you use the above tints on a board separate you will find the tip of yellow turns it chocolate brown. Now check above against boat adjusting for rite tint. Get your eyes accustom to pink tint. Now use tini broken tip stick touch of black to bring down the white so not too white. I have yet to be perfect this way but have gotten close. I would love to know how someone else has made out with this silver cloud gelcoat matching. Thanks
