Hello everyone, I am new to the CC boat and was fortune enough to get a 62 CC Mustang it decent shape. Where does everyone get NOS parts or new parts for these boats. I have one broken window, missing keys, and think I need the rubber pipes that run from the manifolds to the transom. Is there website everyone goes to get parts?
Thanks everyone in advance for any help.

www.nautiqueparts.com. They are located at White Lake, NC. www.skidim.com. AKA Discount inboard marine located in Little Mnt. NC. Otherwise, you have to find someone, typically, on this site, parting out a boat for the original stuff.

Donald gave you the needed information. Those are the two, go two places. Some engine parts can come from an auto parts store, but not starters, alternators, fuel pumps or carbs, those are marine specific. Engine parts shouldnt be a problem. Hull parts are a little trickier and like Donald said, part outs are your best bet.
Now, the boat. Either not a 62 or not a Mustang. See if you can find a metal tag on the stringer near the front of the engine. It will have a letter or 2 and a few numbers. The letter will clue us in as to what model. Could still be a mustang, but if so, its 65 or newer. |

Welcome Jim. I just want to add that keep in mind Correct Craft built the hull, deck motorbox and interior. Everything else is sourced from other manufacturers, names like Buck Algonquin,Perko,Taylor Made,Teleflex etc. Some things are still available but not the big stuff.....

As expected, it is the American Skier model, the predecessor of the mustang, but essentially the same boat. Just curious,, does it have a bulkhead across the back of a front bench seat?

Yes, I believe so. There is a fiberglass (I’m guessing) piece of framework with a stainless steel rope tow sticking out of it.

Welcome. You’ve got a super cool boat project
Try UPD plastics for new windshield, maybe. Looks like they have a 61 and 63 compact skier model and a 66 mustang and I know you can send your shield. And they have a window match verification form Enjoy rehab. Try and download a couple pictures if possible. |

Jim,
What engine is in the AM? Straight 6 with a manual trans or an 8 with a Velvet drive?

V8 with a velvet drive. It used to be column shift but there is a side shifter like a bow riding would have. I will get pictures of it after work.

The column shift with a foot pedal for gas was very common back then . I wonder if it was repowered?

I dont know but I could get down with a throttle pedal. Guy I bought it from said it used to be there.
It currently has a Ford V-8 with Interceptor on the exhaust manifolds
