Youre closer than you might think!

Good heads up on the exhaust parts. If any of us go that route it may come in handy. What I'd really like to do is run true duals, but Im not sure I can sneak the piping past the tiller arm on the port side... I may have to get creative. Either way, I dont plan on doing any exhaust work this year.

this looks like a good spot for me to ask a dumb question....
Would it be possible to cut a second hole in the invertaflo muffler and fibregla$$ in an attachment piece simalar to the other side so that you could simply hose clamp on a second exhaust hose? Would this have any benefit? or is the whole point to eliminate the invertaflo??
Thanks

Darrel, Im not sure if its possible- but it may be.

The main problem lies in the fact that the exhaust is run inside the main stringers on the newer boats with single exhaust. The older boats had the duals run just outside of each main stringer. The rudder tiller arm will make it very tight getting a second pipe past it. Without modification, there is no way you could have symmetrical holes- the existing is just too close to the center.

I havent taken any measurements, but I *think* you could sneak a 3.5" OD exhaust tube along the inside of the stringer and not interfere with the rudder. If you close up the existing hole, you could then cut 2 symmetrical ones.

My 64 American Skier has straight pipes and the F-250 has a low restriction Flow Master.
Wouldn't run a muffler on a boat, it just sounds sweat when cruisin or getting on it!
