I need to adjust the rudder in order to get the free play out on my 1968 Ski Nautique- anyone have any tips on how to attempt this successfuly?? Thanks

It depends on what is causing it. If the bolt to the tiller from the cable is loose replace the bolt. Put washers on both sides of the cable grease the one between the cable and tiller and use a nylock nut. Tighten it until it is snug but still moves. If it is caused by play in the pivot plate replace the plate and make sure the mounting bolt is tight.( This is the reason for the recall ongoing now with the 2003s.)
