Paul, I'm confused. You have a fantastic cla$$ic and you have just posted your desire to keep it original and now you're looking for a swim platform. The platform must be for another boat right?

8122,

Nope....I really want one for my boat!

I can always take it off and fill the holes to make it original.

Its not all original anyway and as long as i dont go overboard with Mods. then i feel confident that my fellow CCfan members wont beat me up too much?

Signed.....Keepin it cla$$ic with a little modern taste

Paul,

The platfrom on my boat is off a early 90's Sport Nautique. I purchased it from fpmarine.com. It requireed only a minor trim on both sides to fit perfectly.

Yes, I installed it. I used three generic stainless steel platform brackets. The transom angle was off about two degrees, so I shimmed the brackets slightly to keep the platform level with the water. The top of the platform is about 8 1/2" to 9" above the bottom of the transom (from memory). I trimmed about 1 1/4" from each side, rounded the cuts over with a router. I had exactly enough rub rail left over the wrap the platform, so I did.

brackets here

In hind sight, I probably could have had brackets welded up locally for just a few bucks more and would have had the right transom angle. I think the correct angle is 100 degrees.

Let me know If I can be of more help. I'm really trying to make some time in the next couple of weekends to work on the boat. I have an ignition kit to install and some seats measurements to take for others on the forum

After you get it on we will expect to see a test of how many of your usual riders it can hold.
