Hey guys,

I was wondering what you thought about this kit and carburetor. I want to rebuild the engine this summer. I am not really looking to make the engine a performance monster. I like how the stock engine runs with my 542, but it has 1500 hours and I figure since I am redoing the stringers, floor, and paint, I might as well rebuild the engine. The pistons are cast, not forged. What are the benefits to forged? I don't need a 350 hp engine.

I've always been parcial to Fel-Pro gaskets, Clevite 77 is the bearing you want. The carb has a diferent style fuel line hook-up but no big issue.

I would look at something like this, you need to get different front and rear seals national 17748 and 17795
