Just when you think you've seen it all ... the SkiTastic, recaro buckets in 2001's, 350 Fords and 351 Chevy's, tournament tubing boats ... someone mounts a 50" flat screen in a ski boat. I'm speechless. |

I bought my '99 for $6500 at the end of 2019. I could probably make a few bucks in this market. But then I wouldn't have a spare boat!

Nutz. Kooky market. At the beginning of COVID in May of last year, I sold my 1994 SNOB "slant-back" for $13,500. I bought the 2001 SNOB for $15,000. I wonder what it's worth today with all the stimulus checks screwing up the market...

Gorgeous boat. But, 17K, that's tough to take. For me, I'd have a hard time paying top dollar for a nwz when for the same money I can get a decent 1997-up or maybe even into the early 2000's on a boat needing a bit of work. Wake improvement is significant.

1986 steadily lowered price, now looking like a good deal. Trailer looks nice. Looks like ring and finger hacked off though.

Thanks. Mechanically very good, a little cosmetically rough. Just needs a winter's worth of TLC...
Have always considered the slant-back my favorite

Sometimes you find something pretty interesting right under your nose in the side banner of boats for sale right here on CCF.
Here's one that's a little on the rare side, that it seems that somebody would be interested in. No price gouging, some work to do and you can read this old thread on the boat |

It does but that's more to smooth the RPM's out. With the hit and miss, the flywheel is needed to carry the rotation over to the next power stroke. They run such a slow RPM and the reasor you can clearly hear each "hit".

Thanks Pete. I also noticed in the picture of the engine that it looks like it has a heavy flywheel.

They are close but have some small differences. A make and break uses a set of contacts to fire a spark plug whereas the hit and miss is more of a diesel. They sometimes have a spark plug but more common is a glow plug. They run on low grade fuels like kerosene. To keep them running, they also require a flywheel.
