Sounds like a nice boat at a great price- one owner, original paperwork, low hours. Somebody here better snatch it up.

Edit: Fixed the link.

New ad with pictures: '78 San Juan

TRBeng,
I've been eyeing that for two days now. before he posted pictures it said original owner w/67 original hrs. It seems to good to be true. I'd be on my way to look at at it if I didn't have two boats already. (or if I wasn't married)
Somehow I just know she wouldn't understand. I hope someone from here gets this.
That is one awesome machine. I can see myself crusin' in it now!

Reading between the lines, I think it said somewhere that the hour meter had been replaced.

I've gotten a lot of pics from the owner on this 78'San Juan. Thought it was a perfect party boat for Green Lake...

This is by no means a 60+ hour boat. Lot's of weird add ons, hull looks ugly, foor/stringer separation, rotten doghouse (I mean it's gone). While the cabin looks pretty good, the boat has a lot of hidden issues in my opinion. Galvanized CC trailer is cool.

Would be a killer boat after a lot of work was done to it..

One thing I don't need right now is another project. (she's right) there I said it.
I will someday have a nice cruiser, right now I need to build a Grargemahaul as I'm out of storage.

I built a Garage-mahal at the lake. 3 stories - 2 levels of 2-3 car storage each (1 up and 1 down) and living quarters on top. My better half still isn't very happy with another project..... But she sure likes skiing behind Nautiques!!

I have a neighbor that just approached me and said he has a client that is looking to sell his 98 Air Nautique. Don't know the hours but he said it was probably low. Excellent shape, GT40 engine and no trailer. $16K. He said the owner may even go a little lower too. Local Winter Haven, FL area. Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. If anyone is even remotely interested, I would be more than willing to go take as many pics as you want and a closer look at it (I haven't seen it at all so I'm only repeating what my neighbor told me). I'm sure that I could arrange for a test drive and ski if need be. My neighbor said that the owner was selling because all of his kids are gone now and he's selling off a few of his toys.
When people run down to the lake to see what's making that noise, you've succeeded.

Now that's typical Lake Geneva for you. It's sitting in front of some fancy building too, probably a corporate boat they can't afford anymore, maybe us tax payers could bail him out. Not too cynical eh? I'm off to make the donuts.

I just saw someone wakesurfing in the '66 brochure. Maybe it isn't so new?

That's a neat looking boat, but I think he swapped his windshield for some bass boat seats?!!?
