Jeff,
The lack of a walk through and the deck section dividing the fore and aft is what makes multiple cockpits. What is your concept?

Jeff,
I'd also like to add that I'm going by some pretty basic definitions that the ACBS has had for many years.

I saw the Century pop up on the Charlotte Craigslist last week, not a bad deal on that one. One of my buddies went and looked at it and is considering picking it up.

Curious about that myself, would like to know what I'm looking at. The boat is about 45 minutes from me.

Brian,
That's a Interceptor Y block. Most likely a 312. Cu. In.

Yep! Nothing unusual about that set up. Except for the paint color it looks bone stock.

In the '64 brochure I see both 190 HP and 215 HP Interceptors offered, which would this be? What was the engine difference between the two?

Look at the block cast number above the oil filter,

61 On C1AE-R = 292     190hp
62 On C2AE-C = 292     190hp
62 On B7ME   = 312     215hp
this may help.
Lets have a go

Peter, are you able to look during the day? If so let's see if we can take a look together later in the week (I can't do evenings). Maybe talk the guy into a ride, I'll tow and pay for gas!

Roger, I am by no means an expert on the Y block nor its ID tips, but I was told , there is only two ways to determine a 312 from all the rest. The asprin sized dot on the crankshaft flange or a bore of 3.80x3.44 stroke..Casting #'s are not proof.
There were several HP options available.
239 CI= 125 hp
256 CI= 135 hp
256 CI= 165/170 hp
272 CI= 185 hp
292 CI= 215 HP

All used the same casting #'s.........Billy
