Wow, where to start on this one.

Met Reid, Mark, Blondie, Keith, Chris and JBear all at one time while freshening up JBears motor (or is it an engine?)in Feb.

Started skiing and doing social events with JBear and Patti and feel that we have new life long friends with them.

Met Jane at the Orlando CC reunion too.

Met HW and Caroline a few weeks ago to ski with them. By the way, HW and Caroline, thanks so much for the Zazzle cup. It was the nicest surprise when it came yesterday.

Been an awesome year. Thanks so much to everyone on this site for the new friends, the memories and laughs and remember that the reason for the season is to give thanks for all your blessings. Celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Crist. And remember that all who believe in Him will have everlasting eternal life. For some reason He brought us all together and we should all be very thankful. I can't think of a nicer bunch of people and I don't even own a CC!!!! Doesn't seem to matter to you guys though. Excuse me, I live down south now so I have to learn to say ya'll and all ya'll. Thanks Doc.

God Bless you and yours and savor the season with family. His Spirit lives in us, through us and with us.

Merry Christmas to all.

When people run down to the lake to see what's making that noise, you've succeeded.

Blow-up the 305 chevy in the Ski Tique - had a nice 355 built for it. Took the carpet out to replace it.
Found a 86 Silver 2001 needing engine work for sale. Promised "if I could only buy that boat I'd sell the Ski Tique".
Drove to Arkansas to pick it up. Got the Silver running good til Labor day
blow it up "man it was runing great when it blew-up" (the crank case filled with water)
Pulled the intake and heads no sign of a crack. Covered it up & put it in the barn.
Now I'm fixing some minor floor fiberglass cracks before I put down new carpet and install the new engine so I can make good on my promise, and get the cash to fix my dream boat right.
This IS a nice SkiTique White w/ Teal letters & trim best offer as a kit or running.
"Need to Sell"

PS I'm pleased to say I met ReidP and JMurphy

2008 goals - Get the bugs worked out of the "dream boat". Meet more CCFans

Happy New Year, Whoo - Hooo !!!

Wow...So many...let's see...

1. Comradarie at the Boston Boat show.
2. Ken smushing his cheezy puffs into the carpeting of one of the new MCs at the boat show (just kidding)
3. Answering the phone one night and hearing JBear on the other end.
4. Tique firing up on first crank
5. Puttering with the boat: Cosmetic face lift to the engine, added a new platform, new badge stickers, painted the trailer.
6. Hauling the boat to NC for a week and entertaining my daughter and five of her friends following her HS graduation.
7. Meeting Ken for a couple pulls down here on the Cape.
8. Two mid season outings with the Lost Lake gang
9. Comradarie around the Harper dinner table.
10. 6 AM barefoot runs the morning of the NE reunion (including the "hot barefootin' chicks" over in the other boat)
11. Finding out at three in the morning, sleeping in my van at the campsite at the NE reunion, that if you lock the doors with the key fob and then try to unlock them with the button on the door (had to use the little boy's tree) that the alarm goes off. (sorry about that Farmer)(I was parked right next to them)
12. The rest of the NE reunion
13. Bacerds barefoot lessons from Tim (I'll get it next year!!)
14. Countless outings with my son.
15. Telephone conversations with the Boat Dr. Thanks for all your help on the cooling issue, Billy.
16. Final Lost Lake outing of the year with the great four man run
17. New and old CCF friends and lots of laughs

Well I've gotta add my .02 worth here too..and I'll probably forget some as well..so many good things happened this year thanks to you guys.

Having the engine (motor?) on the '80 redone by 5 guys and one girl that I barely knew. Thanks Mark, Lisa, Keith, Reid, Chris and Eddie.

Meeting backfoot100 (Eddie Olson) that same day. Turns out Eddie and his great wife JoAnne like all the same things as me and Patti. We were blessed with new friends that seem like we've known forever. Plus he's a awesome footin' teacher.

Easter weekend in the Keys with Reid and Laurie. Wow.

Visiting Mark's famous sandbar with Eddie and JoAnne as passengers..even tho we had to walk the boats thru the canal.

The feeling of being honored by Mark & Lisa, Reid & Laurie and Marshall going WAY outa their way to visit us at Norris on their way home from GL. The feeling of sadness of having to miss meeting more of you guys there.

Being guests at the fabulous Pinkham Palace.

Going to the airport with Reid at 11pm in wet bathing suits, with a cooler of beer to meet the quinner, HW and Johnny.

Being part of the NC SIX man. Meeting all of Reids buds at his place.

Shotski....no more needs to said on this subject.

Orlando Reuniuon with Mark & Lisa. Two great boats parked next to each other and having so many people walk by and say "I know you guys". Meeting Paul Carpenter and BJ Borling (hasbeen) and Jane and her family.

Weekly barefooting with Eddie...monthly dinner and movies with him and JoAnne.

Having Kevin and Carolyn stay at our house for a few days. Which brought me my best skiing moment of the year-double deep water with Hollywood. Thanks HW..hope you know what that meant to me. Thanks as well for the cool cups! Need some more of them pics. Carolyn: we were not holding hands!

Meeting so many of you guys and talking to more on the phone; BKH, 75 Tique, Ken, Chris, 62woodhead, Majicman, eric, 69 Mustang, the boat dr and all the others I've forgotten to mention.

Special mention of thanks to my friend Chuck Arney...the Lake...your calls brought me thru the year when this new experiance of a job got a little heavy.

Best 2 hours of the year? The 2 hours I got to spend talking on the phone to Keith...who made all this possible for us. Plus he fixed my computer over the phone.

Awesome year here for all of us...hope to talk to or meet more of this great group in '08!

john

I suppose my hour meter tells a big part of the story, about 80 this year most of which was skier(s) in tow.

Major highlights include:
Regular outings with HW, Johnny, Booby and Brownie plus a few with M3.
Reid's Caravan and TRBenj stopping at my house on the way to GL for an overnight, what was I thinking inviting all these people I met on the Internet?
GL07, seeing friends from 06' plus meeting many new ones. Skiing and having a great time for 5 days straight.
The Pinkham compound in August, what a great time, finally meeting the infamous JBear, Greg, Tom and others. The 5 & 6 man footing runs were awesome.
Multi man barefoot runs, new slalom ski, working on Flips on the Sky Ski and building pyramids.
The last few warm days of fall on the boat.

Looking forward to another great year in 08', hoping to get Maddie back on Ski's, taking a trip back east and many hours of skiing, footing and just generally goofing off on the boat.
Hoping to get some time in the course this season, getting the flips down on the Sky Ski would be great and after reading HW's post it would be awesome to get back into jumping again.

To another great year and many more to come!

So, 2007 Recap:

- Big turnout at the 2007 boat show. Took some Red Bulls from the Mastercraft booth c/o Ken and had a great time at dinner with Rob, Dena, 81, and Dana.

- Ski school in the spring complete with busted eardrum from fall in course

- Replaced front trans seal on boat.

- Spring opener at Power's Lake on a windy April day. Slalom course deployment.

- Did a tandem longline run in rough water on the Fox river on May 7 with Hollywood for the MS Society benefit "Jans Fans". Raised 350.00 on my own... didn't see any other CCFans there but thanks to 81 for sending a check! HW and I had a pretty sad attempt at the "human barefoot rope" trick on the boom.

- Tested 3 "widebody" slalom skis, chose the Connely F1X

- Met up with TRBenj and Reid at Quinners on the Wednesday before the GL reunion. Scoped out what Tim did to my old boat- very impressive.

- Had our first child on the Wednesday after the GL reunion - had to skip the reunion , but it just goes to show how close we were to the big day!

- Hollywood was relatively ON TIME the whole season(except that one glass morning on Round)- driving 40 minutes up from Niles or the Loop to meet at the lake at insanely early times for great slalom sets. God bless 'im. Early bird gets the worm- we had some absolute glass mornings.

-Rowed the boat in for the first time ever in June. Got assist from Jet Ski. Very humbling moment but turned out to be corroded battery cables.

-Replaced starter on boat (200.00)

- Installed sunbrella bimini on boat

- Had two Oktoberfest parties. At the second party, the only people who actually showed up were CCFans! I cried as I drained out the nearly full 2nd keg. Can't say we didn't try.

-Alan & Dana's Halloween party- great as always.

- Season CLOSER at Quinner's lake 11/7/07. Ground off my prop guard launching at Boobie's ramp but closed the season with a tandem LL run with HW. Can't wait for next year.

2008 Aspirations:

- More footing
- 34mph in the course
- GL 2008
- Shelby 2008
- Get a few CCFans to celebrate the 4th of July with us in the Northwoods
- Coble's ski school in the spring
- add 100 hours to the boat clock
- Get Beth back on the water

2007 recap

Started the year off by meeting Eric, when I dropped the BFN off to have new stringers put in.

Started talking to the Boat Doc about manifolds for the boat, managed to make a new friend out of the deal.

Went to GL07 met alot of great people. Then got the chance to wake up at 4 in the morning to learn to foot in 3 foot waves. Thank goodness we found some glass so Mike could carry on with the clinic.

Progresses to long line late July.

Early fall thank to the members on this I located a 2000 Air, which I brought home.

Capped the the year off with a visit to Eric and numerous phone calls with the Boat Doc. I always look forward to the new wisdom the boat doc has to share with me. Thanks Billy.

2007.

Northern California Boat show. Always marked as a holiday in my calendar.

Bought the 82 Ski Nautique project boat in January. Should have known that would turn into a 3 year effort.

Morrison's Roadhouse with the Chicago CCFans in January. Big Turnout. Hollywood always gracious with limo service in the big white Caddie. Met Copcraft for first time. All night drinking with Gotwake. PLBC is moving into his first home.

February, my little girl's first ride in the boat. 3 months and 1 day old.

February - The world famous Keith Bagley and his sis visit the Hall home.

July - second trip to Greenlake, even better than the first. My daughter's first airplane trip.

September - 44 years living here and I take my boat out on Lake Tahoe for the first time.

September - wake up to snow on my boat - in California! Are you kidding me.

October- Beers with the CCFans in Chicago at Glenview House. Throw back a few with "Original Pete" and others. PLBC has announced his engagement (I think he saves big announcements for when I come to town).

Nearly every day throughout the year, good fun and interaction with CCFans across the country - online, on the phone, and live.

It was an excellent year. CCF really took off.

I went to the NE Reunion and met a bunch of great people. It was a real eye opener as to the great skiing and driving abilities so many people have. Got to see my boys run the course for the 1st time behind Keith's boat. Got to see them try barefooting for the 1st time off Brad's boat. I even tried the course for the 1st time.

In the Fall, the right deal came along in the Diaries, a '66 Mustang and we made a roadtrip to NJ to pick it up. I didn't think I would have a nice old boat like that for a long time to come.

I've either met in person, or talked through email or on the phone with some really decent people.

Thank you Keith.
