If anyone has some good 12" dia props to try, I'd sure appriciate a chance to test a 12x12, 12x13 and 12x14 3 blade.

My new OJ 4 blade 12x13 with cup is too much for my motor (40 mph @ 3900 rpm WOT) and I'm trying to get an idea on how to get it modified.

As long as Steve's throwing it out there, so will I... Id love to try a 12x13 OJ or 12x14 Federal on the Skier. Not sure whats on there now, but my best guess is a 13x12 or 13x11. Diameter looks too big and Im getting 44mph @ 5000 RPM.

Reid, you got anything laying around?

Pat, 4900 is strong for a stock motor! Reid says the 12x13 OJ turns the same revs as the 12x14 Federal and is the hot ticket for a 302 regardless of tune. It sure would be nice to get the revs down to the 4600 range and the speed in the upper 40's.

Tim, I'm running a Federal 12x14. I got 45mph @ 4200. I borrowed an OJ 12x13 and ran a high 44 @ 4300.
What day you getting in to GL? I'll bring my puller

Per Tim's phone call today along with Steve's request, I'm bringing an extra 12x13 OJ and I'll try to dig up a decent 12x14 Fed.

Since my good friend Ruch was the lucky winner of the ACME prop certificate up at Green Lake Saturday nite, and he was generous enough to donate it to me, I'm officially on the hunt for a 12" AMCE replacement. I spoke to Bill Weeks (Mr ACME) today. They recently started offering a 12.5"x12" supposedly as a 12x14 replacement and I'm gonna give it a try. I didn't get a response as to why there wasn't an actual 12" version, but this should be better fit than the 13" cut down to 12" 540 that they made for me 18 months ago, which turned too high, if the clearance is there. He mentioned that Bruce at MidWest CC had purchased one as a 12x14 Federal replacement and said it worked great. He suggested I try it and if turned too high he would put more cup in it, but after thinking about it, if the 13x12 540 was the perfect rpm but too large, then ANY reduction in dia will raise the r's, so I'll ask for some added cup right off the bat to compensate. I'll keep the 12" crowd posted and let this prop run the circuit once I get it here and test it in the next few weeks.
