Helping out my ski buddy with his '89 SN.
Got the muffler that blew up fixed and put back on this week. But can't get the boat to start.
Checked the coil and its getting power, but nothing on the spark plugs. Going to the parts house tomorrow to get a new coil.
Was wondering about replacing the points too.
Are they commonly available?
And what should the gap on the points be?

Thanks
Britt

Drag a point file or piece of emery cloth between the points and then see if you have spark. The point gap/dwell spec should be found in the reference section of this site. Good luck!
