The lake I pass on the way to work every morning looked like this today. I don't think I am going to make it till my typical Late May start date this year.

“So, how was your weekend?”
“Well, let me see…sun burn, stiff neck, screwed up back, assorted aches and pains….yup, my weekend was great, thanks for asking.”

Larry, I would hope you dont wait until May! Im hoping we get ice off in the next week or 2 in CT.

Beautiful shot, by the way. I was eyeing a few small ponds on the way to work today myself- perfect glass there too!

Our lake is still iced over, mid 60's today and calling for 70 tomorrow which means we could be putting the docks in next weekend. Last year we had ice until the first week of April IIRC.

Looking at that on the way to work wouldn't be bad. This is what I look at when I'm at work. The other shoreline is 2.5 miles

We may go kayaking tonight. The lake I live on will have no ice after today. For lunch today, I had corned beef and cabbage at the bar on the lake where my cottage is. It's totally iced over, except for 5' out from the shoreline. Last year, on my wife's birthday of March 15, we went to the same bar on the pontoon boat.

Hey Larry...don't wait...visit. HW comes down tuesday. Water almost always looks like that here. Well except for the gator wake ripples.
