Hi, I am rebuilding a 79 nautique that came in pieces along with several boxes of parts. I have discovered the starter adapter plate is MIA and the bellhousing for the 71c velvet drive only has the relief for the starter, not a nice round hole. My question is, should I just get a new bellhousing that accomodates a starter mounting within it, and if I do that, is there any benefit to a top mount compared to a bottom mount? Thanks, Dan
