i have some that can be used to make copies (one large one and one small one). they was a guy that was getting permission from cc a few years ago on the old nautiquefan, but i don't know what ever became of his efforts.

you would have to pry them from my cold dead hand, but if somebody wants to make some copies let me know.

They're already at $78 with six days left but worth it as they're hard to come by.

The first set went for $103.50, and the second set went for $128.50. Someone needs to get permission from Correct Craft to reproduce these. There is obviously a market.

This is a fairly simple casting. A bronze pour in a sand mold could be easily accomplished. I have cast several other pieces that I needed with success. If you notice there is no "Left" or "Right" , . I need one myself. If enought people are interested I am willing to cast some extras. I would let people have them for the amount it cost me to produce them. Over a hundred dollars for these things is out of control. I will cast my own without correct crafts blessing. They could easily contract with a small casting house and make the parts available to its persistent customer base. Bronze would make a much nicer set than the original Chromed Pot Metal emblems, you can chrome bronze easily.

Regards

Jerry

OK<

here is another idea. Take some modeling clay and
create a rectangle about a half an inch bigger than the emblem. Spray your good emblem with Pam or some other release agent and take it out. Mix some 2 part epoxy with enough aluminum oxide or corbundum and heat it up so it pours easily. Pour this into the mould and wah lah! It wont be chrome but you can clean it up with an exacto knife and paint it whatever color you want. I have not experimented with the "Chrome" paints but any acrylic enamel will work fine if you prime first. Just another option. BTW, this method works for just about anything you can make a mould for. Dont confuse aluminum oxide with aluminium powder. Aluminum powder rates about a 2 on the hardness scale, oxide is a 9. I cast a bearing for my sailboat using this method and it has been in service for 3 seasons now with little or no wear!

Jerry,

I would do the bronze eblems with you in a jack sh*t minute. Please let me know if you are going to dive into this. I have been waiting for someone to come along with balls big enough to tackle this situation.

Thanks,
Paul

Jerry,

I'm in on the bronze casts. Get the word out and you'll have a lot of others in on it.

a guy on nautiquefan was going to make some a few years ago and i think he got a green light from cc. i would recommend getting permission from cc (on paper) before you make any casts for resale.

a little nickle and a little chrome.....

Count me in. Taking my 04 SANTE when it comes in and taking off all decals, dash etc. I have been looking for some old emblems vs. the new stickers.

Jerry,

I would buy a set of this emblems if you cast them with or without the crome plating.

I bought a set of plastic ones from CC with the newwer style lettering put haven't mounted them yet and I would love a quality set that won't get trashed and fall off with old age.
