please look @ this photo and give your pro opinions if this is belt dust with a belt on its way out ??
feels powdery on alum angle in front and is most prevalent towards front/pass side and there are no other visible leaks of any kind |

just ran it on the hose, watched as the belt rode up and down on the alt pulley, looks like hi/low spots
also found the culprit of a ( sound) change last sat, plug wire came loose (( |

Before you get a new sheave for the alternator, get some measurements. Use a set of dial calipers to measure the belt width in random spots and to measure the width of the sheave. It may not be high low spots (different widths) but rather a width issue.
