Both balancers I have are 4 bolt pulley.
Both engins are mid 80s one peice rear main seal 351W's One has a cast in counter weight on the inside 0107 / 8818 are the numbers cast in it. The other has a cast in counter weight on the outside ring with 112872 cast in it. It's odd that the outside ring has the cast in counter weight?

seems this 3 pulley bolt balancers are for industrial engines and/or pre 80 engine...
the one I was offered lacally was also for 4 bolts pulleys... Thanks any anyway |

You could always get a new pulley:
http://www.skidim.com/products.asp?dept=1125 I'm guessing it bolts right through to the end of the crank, is that the problem? |

didn´t have the time to pull the balancer out, but I´m kind in a hurry to order it now, as i have someone that can bring it to me in florida and its travelling back to buenos aires this thursday.
Joe the summit one seems to be just like the one I have, should I risk and order that one? or better go safe and take the oem replacement along with a new pulley? |

I have the outer ring with the part casting number if that serves for something to help identify the part...

Hi Kap, so as far as the crankshaft is concerned, it doesn't matter if it's a 3 bolt or a 4 bolt?
It only matters that the harmonic balancer and pulley are the same number of bolts? |

got the parts yesterday, just came from the marina after installing them, boat runs again! wooho! I`ll be on the water before next year!
