Need a little advice. I met a guy who has an 83 southwind 20, original owner. Around 375 hours, just rec'd normal maintenance over the years, kept on a covered lift at the lake, saw little usage in recent years, he was retired - kids grown. He probably put less than 10 hours a season in recent years. It looks to be in very nice shape - I saw it in winter storage.
I know you can't go by NADA on these, but I have no idea what it would be worth - any thoughts? |

BT91,
I'm with 79 on throwing him an offer for 3k. If it is in solid condition plan on 4-6k for the boat. I can't say enough good things about the Southwind 20. It is one of the best all around boats ever made!!! It is a great family boat with tons more room than it's smaller cousins. It also has a much more smooth ride in the chop than the older Nautiques. You will however be disappointed if you are buying it for as a true slalom skier. |
