Hey,

So we bought a new boat this weekend, it is a 1972 Correct Craft Mustang, and it has a Ford 302 in it. It is in nice shape and runs well, but it is not all original. So it is a daily driver/skier and not a collectors show boat. That's fine with us.

How do I know if it is a Pleasurecraft, or Holman Moody or whatever else it could be?

Is there a difference between one and the other, other than the exhaust manifolds?

From a maintenance and reliability standpoint, does it matter which one I have?

Wade,
It really doesn't matter what engine you have. They were all pretty much the same. There should be some sort of identification but, post a picture and we'll be able to id it. We'd love some pictures anyway. Enjoy it no matter what it is.

A stringer and alignment check is suggested if you haven't done them already.

Wade post a picture we will know right away.

While not in a Correct Craft here is the best pic I have of a Pleasurecraft. Motor mounts, raw water pump and alternator mounts thermostat mounting are a clue.

Here's an early HM,limited adjustments on motor mounts, direct mount crank driven raw water pump,HM cast into many parts.

Come on Gary! When you run out of vertical, all you need to do is make the wood wedges bigger or smaller.

Most likely a conquerer crusader based on what I see, but it's been monkeyed with a good bit.
