just replaced the carpet in my 86 SN and didn't put molding back into the corners along the walls, but the edge of the board that the hood bolts to needs them. I went to my local marinas but nobody could help so i went to carpet place and they have what i needed but they said it was vinyl and didn't know how sunlight would affect it. someone at the marina saik coat it with "303" , some kind of u v protector.tried Overtons but no luck, should i go with the carpet place or is there some place that sells marine molding

303 is a protectant sold by most boat stores. You can find it online as well, they have a website. Guys on the mastercraft forum were talking about a free sample giveaway. You can probably search tmcowners.com and find the free giveaway offer.

I've used 303 on my boats interior since 98 and it works great.

303 is great! Its expensive, but nothing protects vinyl better. They keep finding new uses for it. The cheapest you can find the gallon size is at autogeek.

The stuff you by from CC is in fact just plan old carpet to vynil/concrete transition strips. Available almost anywhere carpet is sold. It will hold up to the sun just fine.
