Al,
You may need to change out the complete assembly?? Scroll down to "ball joint linkages" There is a section on quick release. types. |

Yep, I've seen McMaster-Carrs. I was hoping someone else here had one laying around.
It's not going on a CC rudder, it's for another little project. |

That looks like what is used on the throttle control cable at the carb.

Yes, quite similar, but this one is much larger. 3/8" - 24 thread.
These were used as a quick-release between steering cable and rudder but became a safety issue and replaced with the two-bolt-swivel. I was hoping there was someone else like me who just can't throw-away old parts. |
