with the Hewitt you would have to purchase the bunks for the lift, however when we bought our's used it already had them on it. But i have seen people with ski boats use those little v-pads that they show on their site on shorestation lifts, not my preference but i guess they'd work.

We have a Shoremaster veritcal lift which works very well. You can get all sorts of nice accessories for it like: guides, canopy, wheels, electric winch motors, etc.
With an inboard, they recommend the full length bunks to support the boat.
Cantelever lifts work well too, but I prefer the vertical lift.

The only thing I don't like about it is taking it out of the water in the Fall. Here in NE, it has to come out or the ice will wreck it.
Good Luck and let me know if you anyone would like more information on the Shoremaster model I have.
