I bought my boat in Wisconsin...Ohio requires 12 numbers/letters ( hull I.D). The title office told me I had to make an appt. to get the boat inspected. I made it. The office was an hour drive. I got there one hour early, and they made me wait while they just sat at their desks...till 1:30. We went outside to inspect it. The first thing she does is step up on the buddy bearing..ok..then onto my freshly painted fender. So I say something to her. She gets all bothered and goes back for a ladder. She climbs the ladder and asks me to open the engine cover, which I did. Now she leans over the boat wearing her huge belt with gun ,flashlight....(all metal). So I tell her I have all the numbers written down on paper. She tells me she has to make a visual of the numbers. I told her she will have to get in the boat because the numbers are toward the bottom. Now she says she'll take them off my paper. After all that, they made me wait another 45min for my paper work, that I had to take back to the title office to get my Oh. title. What a pain in the a$$ that was.Well..I'm all legal now, with no damage to boat or trailer fender.

That sucks man, gotta love people with no respect for other people's property. @ least you're legal now though & don't have to deal with that again.

Those kinds of experiences are some of the most frustrating in the world! I wish someone would come up with the idea of paying those people by the item they process instead of by the hour. Government!
