I dont think the Air Tique pylon is long enough to safely carry passengers in the rear.

The back seat cushion is flatter than the 176 (I think). It sets on rails on either side of the seat, up top. I am guessing just the cushion moves up and the base is removed to make room for ballast. Or maybe ballast can fit on the top of the base, I dont known, I havent bought a whole lot of Phat Sacs in my life.

If you plan to ski or barefoot hard an extended pylon might not be the best plan.
The longer the pylon the more leverage it has to break the mount and your boat will lean with the pylon when a strong skier turns.

i dont know if i can barefoot or even ski hard after breaking both ankles. I was more or less curious if it was high enough to allow a rear passenger.

I sun deck is interesting. may have to look into it more

I have the tall pylon and so do many of my ski buddies. I do not have passengers in back when using it.

Definitely can't have anyone sitting in back skiing off the extended pylon, it adds clearance but not that much. We just have the extra person sit on the floor (or a cushion if they want to stay dry) next to the doghouse.

Hey Ethan ,
I know it's a long shot but do you still have 176 nautique and are you interested in selling?
If not do you know of any others for sale are want to sell. My lake rules are going to 18' length rules.
Thanks Bert Buschkoetter

I still own the 176, if all goes as planned it will be owned by me until I am dead and gone.
Completely understand the desire for one, I spent more time than I want to admit looking for one.

Good luck

I'll be selling mine soon. I have a pretty extensive thread here on everything I've done to it. There are 2 people in line right now but no money has changed hands. PM me and I'll let you know how the sale is going if you're interested.
