An easy Sat morning project. 90 min. total. Phillips screwdriver and 3/8" wrench. Some metal polish, plastic lens cleaner, orange spray paint.

Before (much worse than picture)..

Begin by removing these 2 small screws, separate the speedo body, gently pry up the lens (pull on the adjustment grommet while pressing down the thumbwheel works well).

The chrome was just too pitted to save, so I used OOO steel wool and metal polish to get it at least shiny. Clean face, mask and paint pointer orange. Reinstall clear lens, be sure to slip on the 2 anti-rattle buffers.

End result far from perfect, much more like Stinson Beach than Pebble Beach (NorCals will especially relate), but at least I can stand to look at them.

Looks like the before had some pitting in the lens...you can replace just the lenses on these?? Mine work perfectly but one has some minor spider cracking and its driving me crazy...can't find OEM replacements but would be WAY easier to just replace the lens.

Was able to clean and polish the lenses by hand using Meguiar's Clear Plastic Polish Filler.
