if you pull the 2 wires on the switch and tie them together you can bypass the switch. only problem is the boat can now start in gear...

It says it all in the word nuetral SAFETY switch, if its not working ...replace it.
at one time i was the most dangerous boater on the water. with boating accidents it usually not a cut and scrape, I know and were friends with 2 guys that died in boating accidents. stupid things caused theier deaths and thats what changed me. i went form one extreme to another, i make sure i run the blower, make sure the nuetral safety's are working, life vests, etc..
