In researching my stringer project I came across the vacuum bagging technique. I have a little experience doing wet lay up but not a lot. My questions are:
Is it possible to set up stringers for vacuum bagging?
Is there any advantage to vacuum bagging for a stringer application?

As always, thanks in advance,
Mike

Mike, Typically vacuum bagging is used for very complex shapes or where clamping can't be done. I think on the stringers it would be more work that it's worth. They can be wet layed up without a problem.

We had to do quite a bit of vacuum bagging on some Boeing 787 parts. Honestly, it is a lot of work. It is a boat not an airplane. Just do the regular hand lay up.
