We live in Akron and mostly go out to West Branch State Park and Lake Milton.

I'm not an OSU fan but the boat colors are very "OH-IO"

It would be a lot better if it were Kelly green and white.

I was part of the Ohio University water ski team when i went there

Does anyone know how many reverse gel coat boats they made in 88?

no idea, it was an option from the factory but it was extra. Mine is the reverse gel in 86 and other than the silver nautiques I have never seen one like mine. I cant say I have seen one like yours either, you could try scouring the diaries section.

I am from canton, I am an ohio state fan but not obsessed with them like many I know. My wife and aunt went there. So I grew up watching their games when I was a kid. I do think you could sell that to a fan and charge them extra!

Cool boat!
Love the reverse gel scheme...

I call those colored decks, and Jlogan's boat a reverse gel. Anyway, no I have not seen any colored decks on a warm gray base gelcoat hull. There are a handful of fire red deck white base gelcoat 88s out there, among burgundy, midwatch blue, and ice blue that I've seen.

That is a sweet looking color scheme. I love it when the color scheme makes the side of the boat Ski Nautique 2001 pop and the hull. Very nice.

BTW, when you said OSU I was thinking you need orange and black color scheme for Oklohoma St Cowboys..

Eric,
Welcome to the site! That's a good looking boat, and I'm not even an OSU guy.
I also live in Ohio, and we're starting to build a contingent of CCF guys around this area. I don't know how familiar you are with the site, but you may want to watch the http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=23753&title=neo-beers - NEO Beers thread, and consider meeting up for a beer.

Thanks for all the complements on the boat!

The seats need a little work, but that gives me a winter project. Engine runs great with 680 hrs. Wet sand and new graphics in the spring.

She's been a lot of fun and can't wait to get her out in the spring.

I'm definitely down for getting a beer sometime. My second hobby is beer brewing. 3 batches in the works right now....

My Christmas ale is just ready to drink
Irish Red Ale is bottle curing
Caribou Slobber Brown ale is fermenting

When is the next outing?

We don't actually have anything on the books right now, for a couple reasons...the holidays are approaching, and in general, we're not a very organized bunch. But it sounds like the next outing may need to be at your house anyway!
