Randall, how far north do you live? I can't imagine having a black interior in a boat, looks great, but it would only be useable here in the dead of winter. Even the black SAN would be a little difficult to deal with here, but I think I could manage it without too many burns.

My little buddy loves jumping in the water.

Doesn't have anything to do with sking or CC's but it is one of my passions. This was taken the morning of the ladies Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.

Craig, that really is a beautiful picture! I'd say it's a calendar photo but you'd probably have to photoshop out the Tige.

Your Sport is the only one I've seen with the black hull sides all the way to the top, no lighter colored area at the top. It really looks sharp, I like it a lot.

Thanks for the comments. I could crop out the Tige, but I'd really like to crop the tower off of our boat. It looks so much better without it but the tower is just too convenient, so it stays on most of the time.

Yes, the black vinyl can be brutal in mid-day sun (Alabama). But, you have to see the orange and black in person...there is no way I would ever change it away from original. I also think a bimini top wouldn't look good, so I get by...

I pretty much avoid mid-day sun (for sunburn and rough ski water). Where I spend most days at the lake, there is a covered wet slip for shade. It works out well.

What's wrong with that last picture, you're just waving at the boat, right?

I can't believe how good that water looks, not a ripple at the ball in the 1st picture, figure about 1/100th of a second later it was pure white!

Boy thats a pretty boat, Steve... but I'm pretty sure the "Ski" thats written on the side would indicate that the observer's seat is installed improperly.

I'd hit up Marty for some fancy new reg letters too- that would really complete the look!

Pam doesn't like sitting backwards when they are out cruising plus, she likes to keep an eye on where Steve is driving! I do the same when Diane and I are just out for a ride otherwise it does face aft for the most of the time. Thankfully Cc made them reversible! The rear trick is to turn the drivers seat aft!

Tim,
the "bacerds" observers seat is a small price to pay to keep the Mrs. happy. ( Maybe I should get a decal to go over the graphics that reads "Ski Not-ique" when the seat faces forward?)

As for the reg. numbers. If good 'ol IL ever sends my registration back, I will probably get them painted on the hull in the matching royal blue, with red shadowing. I had them painted on my 64 to "keep it original". hmmmm, Wonder if Pete has vinyl on his old ones?

Oh guys, don't let this thread stray too far. I was just having a little fun in a summer that was way too short. It's a C5/C6 fusion. Certainly it is not fun, and if I could have avoided it, I would. But, it was not even close to the most painful surgery they've done to me.

If Payton Manning can get back to playing football, I think I'll be just fine fiberglassing a stringer, kicking a soccer ball with a 5 year old, messing around on a ski/wakeboard/surfboard (whatever I can manage) behind the boat. Just takes several months to heal and patience is worse than any pain.

Now what was all that noise about bikini pics?

Kapla, when do you start to get the girls (your nice crew down there) on your boat...???

Agreed the slide last year was awesome. I guess it was to much liability for Ben this year.

Where is Lake Conway?

I love your boat. The lines of the 2nd Gen Sport's always have been appealing to me, and that's a great color.

David,

I believe they are speaking about lake Conway in Orlando which is near the old Correct Craft Plant. This is where all of the boats got their lake test before being shipped to the distribution centers. This all ended when the new plant was built. They have a man made test lake at the new plant. Your boat was in that lake at one point.

I think I saw THE GODFATHER in a green french cut speedo in that picture.

Donald you nailed that, yes Lake Conway Orlando.

Before Correct Craft moved I use to watch them test all the new boats with no windshield and a bucket for a seat. Now at Meloons house they take potential customers on MasterCraft boats.

Yep, in the older brochures most of the pictures were shot on the Conway chain. Funny, I still drive by the old factory at least twice a week. Still haven't sold the property. There's probably so much hazardous chemicals in the ground from the resins, etc that it will end up costing more to clean it up than the property is worth. HQ building has been revitalized and fully leased out.

It's kind of neat to see the old building on the way to school everyday. I remember at one point seeing brand new engines wrapped in plastic on shelves near the street, and all of the halfway built boats scattered everywhere. Because the building is so open, you could literally see every part of development standing from the street. Very cool. Now it's just a depressingly empty warehouse.
