There should be a heavy nylong ring with the kit. Slide it through the bow eye so that you have a loop in each hand, and the strap is double wide through the bow eye (not the lifting ring, the bow eye which you hook to the trailer). Now both ends that you have in your hand attach to the cable which runs from the pole. There is probably a caribiner to hook the strap into.

Go to the following post where chavonbravo has posted a pic of his setup. You should get the idea: http://correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2744&PN=2&TPN=1

Hey 88,
Where do you put in most of the time? I'm in Friendswood. Where's your trailer from?

i hook mine to the lifting ring. about 50% will tell you its a bad idea. but havent heard of any ill effects, the boat is built like a tank. and mine has not had any problems at all

Ryan before you put it over your pylon make sure you have the right mesh sleeve. It is either white or yellow depending on the pylon I beleive all CC use the white Let me know if you need some I may have some left.

I got mines off ebay, and they only had the red mesh...boy was that hard to get on. had to kinda hammer the pylon down. Also, my top portion swivels a bit while underway. Wouldn't really be noticeable except that with a wakeboard rack, you can tell when the wakeboards are like 45 degrees off to the side. :)

I just got a Joystick pylon and need to find the insert. Rick do you know if the yellow insert is thinner then the white insert. There was a white insert on my pylon when i bought the boat but it is too tight for the pylon to slip over.

The yellow insert is smaller and the only one that would work on my 98 air tique. The red & white ones were too big. That mesh is the same stuff they use to protect machined metal parts. If you know someone who is a machinist or sells machining equip.,they can get you a roll for next to nothing.I also used my lifting ring, but if it's not adjusted properly(i.e.the turnbuckle under the bow)the ring can move around when pole is loaded and you'll damage the gelcoat.hope this helps.
