Gentlemen in the Northeast -

I'm kicking out an invitation to an informal gathering at John Harvards Brewery in Framingham, MA. It's easy to get to from the Mass Turnpike, 495 and Rt 128. I'm thinking of a date in May. We can do a Saturday late lunch if nobody objects. I'll provide the first two rounds of beers or soda if you're not a drinker. We can order some appetizers and shoot the bull. I'm suggesting an afternoon because evenings are packed! I'd like to get the whole gang together, but I know that's not realistic. If you're interested, please let me know. Then we need to commit to a date and time. Who's interested?

Ken

Im in, unless it falls between May 3-18 (company travel).

If we get together on the weekend, Id definitely prefer it be on a rainy day!

I'm going to suggest May 20th, 3:00. Again, I hope to get most of us together. May is early in the boating season, which works out well. Great way to kick off the summer! I'll pray to the rain gods on the 20th.

No problem. We can really do this anytime. Whatever is good for you guys, I'm open. A last minute thing is good too because there's no reservation made. If it is the 20th, I'd need to do it more like 1:00. I forgot about prior obligations at 6:00 that day.

Ken,

Always hard to predict schedule and availability (especially when keeping up with 2 teenagers) but I hope to make it. Keep us posted on details.

Just a friendly reminder, we're still on for the 20th at John Harvards. Please let me know who's planning on attending. If the attendance is only me, myself and I, we'll reschedule.

Thanks!

Hey guys,
I actually work right near there but live about 45 mins. away. Does a week day lunch or early dinner work for anyone?

Keith,

A weekday works fine for me. I can meet up afternoon or evening. I'm on the road Wed. and Thurs. next week. We'll see what everyone else says.

Looks like our lunch will be cancelled for the 20th. I haven't seen any positive responses. We can reschedule another day. Keith suggested a weeknight after work. I'm pretty much game whenever you guys are.

A weekday evening would work better for me too. Im still on travel, so things should be back to normal next week.

Ken

Too bad it didn't work out. Weekends are tough. As has been said before, maybe an after work would work, at least for the somewhat locals.

I'm trying to remember from some of those old threads, if your home lake is Framingham or Natick. Do you keep the boat at a dock at whichever it is, or do you trailer up from Upton each time?

I keep my boat at my parents house. They live in Natick and Lake Cochituate is five minutes away, versus thirty minutes from Upton to Natick. It sits on the trailer.
