Not often you find a unique item like this! a vendor case of airguide 2025 speedometers! Now before everyone busts my chops about the fact they are for supra's- I challenge anyone to find something like this 25+ years later. This case was manufactured on 8/2/1991. It is so cool to see all of them with the same stamps- just like they day they were born. I am going to sell some off to anyone who has an interest. I am asking $125 shipped. If you buy more than one- still $125. Look on places like ebay and you will see these are listed at $250+. You can use as is- or replace the dials with whatever you want.
I thought it was super cool find and wanted to share.

If you have a Supra you're crazy not to pick up two for spares.

Todd- was thinking the same thing. Gotta strike when the iron is hot they say. Very rare. Look on great lakes skipper and see what they charge! I'm gonna put some on eBay at the going rate and see if any other "supra" owners scoop them up.

Before u eBay them, let's try to come up with a anew face for them. Are any available? The past couple weeks I've been searching.

My dilemma:
Have PP. other speedo crapped out end of June. That leaves me with two bad speedo's. I'm happy with their appearance but they say Nautiques on the face, not Correct Craft or Airguide. Do I swap over to the GPS unit from Dean? Since I'm already not original bite the bullet and put Precision Star on the other side? Not thrilled about the "Correct Craft" face compared to the "Nautiques" even though I HATE the term "Nautiques". If I could find a " Nautiques" face id buy a speedo from Rod tomorrow, maybe two.

Sorry, don't mean to thread jack but it's partly related.

Classic Boatworks reproduces all the faces. I sent him the 1990-1993 and the 1994-1999 to use as his artwork. They are on his site if someone wanted to go that route. (He also has 1986-1989 in black).

His are close, but this is what came out of my 87 BFN.

It says airguide instrument company on the bottom instead of Airguide Chicago U.S.A., and the Jeweled Contralog Speedometer font is different. I sent Zach a higher resolution image of the face last year (or maybe the year before) to see if a decal could be made of it, but nothing ever came of it.

I hope Steve K. (Air 206) does not see this thread. He has been in Air Guide withdraws and this could put him over the edge.

Back when I had my 1980, I was getting some real nice black decal over lays from Don Caruthers in Houston, TX. They were great and very inexpensive from this site. His screen name is not hitting my memory bank right now. I have his address if anyone wants to PM me to write him. Does anyone remember how to write a letter? I am not sure I can anymore. You would have to be able to take the speedo apart.

That is it. Also, the overlays only state Air Guide and not Correct Craft, Nautique or Bayliner.

Thanks.

There seems to have been a few Nautique Clones lately that were really Bayliners with Air Nautique Decals added so we can't rule it out.

Steve saw the treasure and refrained. Says he is building some sort of fleet on non-excel boats and needs to focus on the drift wood projects.

Nice Rod,
Brings me back to the last day's of hand driving in tournaments before speed control. Airguide was having quality control problems at that time and the promo boats would have the Airguide bezels fall off along with indicator hands and face plates slop around. I would go to tournaments with a box like that Myself and Steve Meloon had gone through and inspected and culled out the problem units. along with a box of pitot's that had been modified.

Great story! Would have loved to been able to drive in a tournament back then. Sad to see airguide go out of business. Thanks for sharing.

I am pretty sure I have seen some on Craig's List. People list their Correct Crafts going 80 that is. If it is on the internet, it must be true.

I also believe that Tim's 79 Barefoot Nautique is on its way to somewhere close to 80.
