If you own or have ever owned a Correct Craft / Nautique boat then you know or have at least heard of Woody., (his real name is David Wood). He is my mentor when it comes to Correct Craft boats. I have never met anyone that knows more about Correct Craft boats than he knows after 35 years at S.E. Correct Craft. He recently informed me that he has Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Stage 3 of another cancer. His employer, (yes, he was still working full time at 70 as an auto service writer), sent him to the doctor and they immediately put him in the hospital. He is home now but has no income for living expenses, (who knows how long S.S. will take for him to get any money from them!), and I am sure there will be outrageous medical bills to follow. | What a great guy. I talked to him back in the 90's when I bought my first CC. He took the time to go over several questions I had and gave me good sound advice. I know he has helped several of my friends over the years. Praying for him and his family. Donation made. |

Woody had his first round of chemo yesterday and it went well,(as well as chemo gets I suppose! He sounded in good spirits but myself being one that suffers from many illnesses including Lupus, cancer and more, I know acting tough as long as you can is all a man has to hold on to. The last thing he needs is to worry about money so if you can help even a little, it will be appreciated. Woody seems to be in good spirits. His blood test results weren't favorable for his second dose of chemo so it was put off for a week. Woody had his third round of chemo Tuesday. Yesterday the side effects reared their ugly heads but he seemed to still be in good spirits. Writing as someone that has been dealing with a serious, incurable disease, Lupus, along with hypothyroidism and a list of others for the last 15 years, to which cancer was added about a year ago, I can tell you that the last thing he needs is the stress of worrying about how he is going to make his house payment, buy groceries, medicine, etc., etc. He has helped literally thousands of people by fixing their boat, selling them the correct parts, giving advice and directions on boat problems, etc. Every little bit helps. GoFundMe keeps a little but 92% of all donations go directly to Woody and is under his complete control. No one can touch the money but him. The donations, no matter how small, are as good as the chemo because it shows him that people care. Thank you all and God Bless you. In God We Trust. great news had number 4 treatment yesterday. doctor very happy with the progress that i'm making. still no time fame as to how many treatments. took the Harley done the street on Sunday I felt so good. very short 1/4 mile maybe. made my body feel good. I feel very good today have to go and have what they call a flush. Gain some weight up to 189lbs. Still have 20 to go. Hope everybody is getting there boat ready for the summer. hello everybody. Took the bike to Chemo on Tuesday and back to Doctors on Thursday and to hospital for my White cell shot. Rode today to Radio for my show. Update no chemo today because not enough days since last one. New date is the first of august. Better news only have 4 more treatments, The chemo is killing the cancer from looking at the cscan that was done on the 21st. Still going to beat this devil. ------------- woodyelc |

UPDATE!!!!! Chemo number 9 is in the book. Still have got c scan results from the place that took them. Doctor is very upset whit them. Feeling awesome today. Found a part time job that I can work my own hours as I feel good. Have more bills to pay. Thanks for all the donations and prayers. They have helped me in my fight against this devil. Woddy Seven years out from Lymphoma. Mine was Non-Hodgkin's small cell type which they say is the better one to have if you must have one. I was also deep into stage 4. Yes, chemo is not fun. I had six treatments. My advice is to get up every day and go about your business and not look back keeping a good positive outlook. It is not fun but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. |

NEWS Flash had last Chemo this past Tuesday. Will know next month how much we have killed the cancer. Than on to the BONE cancer. Will update everybody when I know what we will be doing to kill it. Keep the faith! Don't think you are the only one having that feeling, I panicked having an MRI done and barely made it through it The nurse said it happens all the time. Maybe a little valium next go round! :) |

BREAKING NEWS. UPDATE:::::: Saw Doctor and he said the cancer is gone or so small it does not show up on the cat/pet scan. Now we are going after the bone cancer he is putting me on drugs to try to take care of it. I think if it was real bad he would be doing something else. I'm feeling great. UPDATE..... Got approved for the meds that I need to fight the bone cancer. Started them last week. Hope this will kill them. Will be a couple of months before we do any testing in the bone. Will try to keep everybody updated. Thanks for all the prayers and Help. Woody ------------- woodyelc |

UPDATE.... Got new meds but my body did not like them and I ended up with a real bad rash and hives. Doctor told me to stop taking and now I'm better without the rash.
