I have a 1991 SN with a PCM 351w im not sure but i think the ignition system has bern changed to a msd system it is a marine system msd part no 6460 well in previous posts ive had ibe been having trouble with no spark and tbought i fixed it but no here are my questios:

1 looking at the pullys when i crank motor over the crank pully spins clockwise is this a standard rotation?
2.what was the oem distributor if it wasnt changed?
3 should i go with elec or points? Which brand and part numbers?

If you are looking directly at front of engine (facing stern) then you have std rotation.

OEM should have been Prestolite, no longer in production.

You might want to contact MSD to ask if they can repair your dizzy, would be cheaper than a new one.

Oem was almost certainly protec in 91. Definitely not MSD.

I found a marine dizzy and installed it, boat ran great last night in driveway lets see how today goes
