I sold my 2005 Mastercraft X-Star. It was an awesome boat. I bought it 3 years ago and since that time, I met my wife, fell in love, got married, moved cities, bought a house, and had a baby. That's a lot in just 3 years. Needless to say I needed the money for other things like my house, I've always loved Ski Nautiques. When I was in high school I went to a Young Life camp in upstate New York called Sarnac, which is on Lake Saranac. They had ski nautiques and I just thought they were awesome.

A guy had one for sale on Craigslist at Lake Norfork. He owned it for 26 years and it's in decent shape. He stored it on a covered slip year round. It has good and bad. The vinyl is in great condition. The bolts on the port stringer are tight, but the starboard stringer are not tight. The wood floor in front of the motor and under the driver seat is rotted, but the rest feels very solid. Its engine runs great with 850 hours on the clock. The transmission is smooth with no lag. Steering cable is very easy. The prop spins freely on the trailer. I offered him $3500 and he took it. I'm a Correct Craft owner now! Time to get to work. I think first thing is change the oil (he didn't know when it was done last but it didn't looked burned up) and new impeller

WOW, nice boat for $3,500.00. Get the Star-Brite three step teak cleaner, brightener, and oil kit and you will have that platform looking like new in short time.

Welcome home from being on the Dark Side (Mastercraft).

I have to admit when I saw this title the first thing that came to mind was someone getting rid of a mastercraft trailer for a correct trailer for their Nautique.

Congrats to you and the family for a what looks to be a very clean 2001.

They call them CORRECT CRAFT for a good reason and welcome to CCFan. It'll take some getting used to coming from a fuel injection ski boat to a carbureted one but the sound coming out the back will make up for it. Nice find Cy and congrats on the "new " Nautique. They may be tight on space but I love my 88' and if you can ski thru its wake.....you can ski thru ANYTHING!

Greg,

You never really know. I know a guy that has a Boat Mate Trailer under a Chris Craft. Hard to believe but true.
